In this day of age with social media why any business would give bad customer service is beyond me. Please read the story.below.
Today my 59 year old dad went over to our local Lidl store on Union Street Plymouth which he uses daily. While he was waiting in the queue the lady on the till pointed him out to the security guard and identified him as a shop lifter she saw stealing on the previous night. (Father has never shoplifted in his life). The security officer told my father in front of a packed store that he was caught shoplifting upsetting and embarrassing him. My father then went back over the Lidl shop and politely asked the security officer if he was able to speak with the manger as to regain his innocence so the lady on the till would realise she had mistaken his identity for someone else. I accompanied my dad so he wouldn’t get upset or embarrassed again. The security officer was very forceful and completely refused to get the manager then put his hands on my 59 year old dad in an attempt to get him out. Embarrassing him further more and ejecting him with unnecessary force. Upsetting him once again and not allowing him to have them identify there mistake. I am deeply upset at the way they would treat such a loyal customer and will be taken this to the local paper and national papers. So all shares would be greatly appreciated!
